Hello lovely people long post of the day coming up,
Usually, I link my personal life with a relatively modern song, well tonight I have chosen a song quite different from my usual genres.
You know how everyone has a song that just makes them feel like if they close their eyes they can go somewhere else completely? Well mine just happens to be out of the Sleepless in Seattle soundtrack: A kiss to build a dream on - Louis Armstrong
Whenever I listen to it, or just the whole Sleepless in Seattle soundtrack in general, I close my eyes and I swear I almost feel like I’m floating away into peaceful nothingness.
I think it is the raspiness in his voice and the way he kind of drags out the words like he’s forcing his tongue to say them, I know that doesn’t exactly sound poetic but it creates such a beautiful mix.
Anyways, as it is getting late I will be ending this post with a few words of wisdom like always :P
I realized today after reading a small extract that often we take for granted the smallest of things because we just see them as normal. It is incredible that we don’t often thank our mothers for cooking every day, or our fathers for even having a job so that we can afford to buy things that allow us to go on Tumblr, truly incredible. So if you’re feeling brave and in a good mood, say thank you to anyone who is always there for you in the most unexpected ways and float away with your favorite make-my-heartbeat-go-down song.
